What if breast cancer was just the start of an incredible journey?

Amazon Heart was founded in 2004 by two young breast cancer survivors, Megan Dwyer and Meredith Campbell,  to answer that question.  Over the next 6 years Amazon Heart grew to become a global movement – with 200 breast cancer survivors, from 7 countries, taking part in 16 adventures on 4 continents, raising over $1 million for charities around the world.  Along the way lives were changed, and our events contributed to understanding post-traumatic growth through research and peer reviewed publications.

Our adventure came to an end in 2010 when we hung up our boots for the last time, but our legacy and that of the women who journeyed with us remains.
